Why do you only have Queensland Blue Couch?

Queensland Blue is a great lawn for Central Queensland.  It is a lush, blue-green lawn, with a soft feel offering good weed resistance and drought tolerance after establishment.  It is used commonly for residential lawns, sporting fields, parks and gardens.

How much is your turf?

Queensland Blue Couch generally retails for around $7-9 per square metre.  Give us a call or check our socials to check our availability and current pricing.  Our pricing will depend on availability and quality of the turf at the time, to ensure we are supplying a quality lawn at reasonable prices for our customers.

How do I care for my lawn after laying?

Accepted Answer

First up, preparation is key.  Laying your turf on a good layer of top soil is ideal to give it the best chance to establish. Watering for a good 30 - 60 minutes each day for the first 7-14 days is important to allow the roots to grow, remembering that a good long soaking is better than short bursts of water.  First mow should typically be around 3 weeks after laying, but take care to ensure roots have established before mowing.  Gently pull your turf, and if it comes up easily, continue to water and wait to mow.  At first, aim to mow only about 1/3 of the leaf, ensuring you have around 6cm of growth before mowing.

Do you lay turf?

As a boutique lawn maker with a small selection of turf currently under management, we only offer pick up service.  Ideally, measure up your space and give us a call or text prior to the weekend to let us know how many square metres you need. We are now open by appointment only and can work around your turf needs.

Where are you located?

Limestone Turf Co is conveniently located only a few kilometres from Yeppoon's CBD.  It is easily accessible at 250 Limestone Creek Road, Adelaide Park, near the Neil's Road intersection.  Customers coming from Rockhampton are recommended to exit Yeppoon Road at Neil's Road, and local customers from Yeppoon can drive past St Brendan's College on Adelaide Park Road, and take the first left at the lights onto Limestone Creek Road.

Please beware our current road access is single carriageway, so ensure you indicate early to turn.

Question 6

What happens if I'm not happy with my turf?

Accepted Answer

We ask our customers to check their turf on pickup to ensure you are happy with the quality on purchase.   Just like buying a plant from the garden centre, turf will only survive with ongoing care and attention, particularly to establish its root system.  We will endeavour to provide after care advice if you are having issues, so please give us a call to discuss.
